Infusing natural materials in everyday décor items is a key design element at Foreside. Using manual processes, natural grasses like cattail, water hyacinth, and seagrass are harvested and dried to form fibers that can be woven.

Our natural baskets, trays, and wall hangings are handcrafted using these sustainably sourced natural fibers. Artisans use traditional weaving techniques to create beautiful baskets, containers, and decorative items.

Many of our products are made from jute, a material that belongs to the bast fiber group. Bast fibers are highly sustainable due to their fast-growing regenerative properties. Jute is one of the most environmentally friendly plant-derived materials because its fibers can be recycled more than once. For more information, read our blog.
